Playing:

I played at Magruder High School in Rockville, Maryland from 2007-2010. During my time there, I won two state championships; 2007 & 2010. In the 2010 championship season I helped lead the team as one of the captains to the Maryland state title. I was honored to receive numerous accolades in 2010: 1st Team All-County, 1st Team All-Gazette, 1st Team All-State, 1st Team All-Met Washington Post.

Following my high school success, I was granted an opportunity to continue my soccer career at the next level. I played at Catholic University in DC from 2010-2014 & was part of the class with the most wins in the program's history. Similar to high school, I finished off my senior year as one of the captains of the team, ultimately leading to a Landmark Conference Championship & the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament. I was honored with 2nd Team All-Conference in 2010 & 1st Team All-Conference honors in 2014. Additionally, in 2016 I was named to the Landmark Conference All-Decade Team.

Coach's Corner:

Technique. Form. Function. It is inherent for young aspiring players first learning to play the beautiful game to quickly gain an understanding of what their bodies are capable of achieving. Everyone has their own unique characteristics & talents. However, for a player to have the ability to grow both mentally & physically, it is essential to dig down deep, below the surface to find the passion that drives them.

I take great pride in educating the youth of tomorrow to provide an immediate positive impact on the soccer world as we know it today. Making training sessions & games an enjoyable activity for all parties involved is on the forefront of my coaching philosophy. Lacking this vital aspect in any event on or off the field, will never yield the desired final results. By implementing this type of environment on the training ground, it helps my players grow immensely.

It was stressed upon me at a young age that everyone needs to get the most out of each training session in order to leave a positive lasting impression in a game. Regardless of differing ability or age, I found that the the most beneficial training sessions come from teammates pushing one another. As a coach, I find this disciplined approach allows players to seek & best fulfill their potential. Hard work, dedication & the desire to become better is all that I can ask for out of a player. Anything above & beyond, intangibles, are purely complimentary to an already solid foundation.

Being mentally sharp is one of the most overlooked aspects in the game of soccer. After spending the majority of my playing career as a goalkeeper, I take great pride in not allowing 'down' time during a match to affect my ability to make that one game-winning save to lead my team to victory. Now, as a goalkeeper trainer & coach, I feel that I am blessed with the ability to translate my past experiences into an educational tool for the youth learning the intricacies of the game.
